Outlook for Windows

  1. Open the “Mail” Control panel
    • Click Start > Control Panel > Mail.
  2. Click Show Profiles > Add.
  3. Type a name for the profile and click OK.
  4. When the Add New E-mail Account dialog box opens, enter the following information:
    • Name: your name as you want it to appear on sent messages
    • Email Address:
      • If your WUSTL Key username matches the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@wustl.edu
      • If your WUSTL Key username differs from the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@email.wustl.edu
    • Password: your WUSTL Key password.
  5. Click Next.
  6. If you are prompted to allow a website to configure your server settings, check the Don’t ask me about this website again box and click Allow.
  7. Outlook will automatically configure your account. You will be asked for your username and password.
    • Username:
      • If your WUSTL Key username matches the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@wustl.edu
      • If your WUSTL Key username differs from the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@email.wustl.edu
    • Password: your WUSTL Key password.
  8. Click “Finish”
  9. If you want to use different profiles with Outlook, select Prompt for a profile to be used. If you want Outlook to always open your O365 profile, select Always use this profile and select the profile you just created from the drop-down list.
  10. Click OK.
