Blackberry

For BlackBerry 10 devices:

  1. On the BlackBerry 10 home screen, select Settings
  2. On the System Settings page, select Accounts – If you haven’t yet created any accounts, select Add Account
  3. On the Add Account page, select Email, Calendar, and Contacts
  4. Type your email address:
    • If your WUSTL Key username matches the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@wustl.edu
    • If your WUSTL Key username differs from the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@email.wustl.edu
    • Select Next
  5. Type your password and select Next
  6. The Looking up connection information message displays – your device tries to set up your email account automatically
  7. When it finds your connection information, specify the information you want to synchronize with your account, and select Done
  8. You will see your account listed on the Accounts list – go to the BlackBerry Hub to access your email account

For earlier BlackBerry devices:

  1. Click Email Settings in your BlackBerry menu
  2. Click the Add button and select a POP/IMAP account type if asked.
  3. Check the option to provide settings to add this email account and then click next
  4. On the next screen enter the following information:
    • Email address: enter your @wustl.edu email address
    • User name:
      • If your WUSTL Key username matches the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@wustl.edu
      • If your WUSTL Key username differs from the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@email.wustl.edu
    • Password: your WUSTL Key password
    • Email server: outlook.office365.com
    • Port: 995
    • Encryption: use SSL
  5. When asked for an outgoing email server, enter the following information:
    • User name:
      • If your WUSTL Key username matches the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@wustl.edu
      • If your WUSTL Key username differs from the first part of your @wustl.edu email address, enter: yourwustlkey@email.wustl.edu
    • Password: your WUSTL Key password
    • Email server: outlook.office365.com
    • Port: 587
    • Encryption: use TLS
  6. Your phone should now be able to send and receive emails through your Office 365 account. If you have trouble, you can find information specific to your phone and carrier on the BlackBerry website.
